4. Jon-Paul McGovern

Winger Jon-Paul McGovern became the second signing of the summer in 2011 when he put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal that will keep him at Brunton Park until the summer of 2013.

McGovern began his career as a trainee at Celtic but was released by the Scottish giants after one season and subsequently signed for Livingston in July 2003 after a successful loan spell in England with Sheffield United.

A good season for 'Livi' saw Sheffield Wednesday come in for the midfielder who joined Paul Sturrock's squad in time for the start of the 2004/2005 season.

He was a key cog in Sturrock's side which won promotion to the Coca-Cola Championship and made over 60 appearances for The Owls during two seasons at Hillsborough.

He joined Swindon Town just hours before the close of the transfer window in August 2007 and made over 100 appearances prior to his departure from the County Ground in June 2011.
